TROPICAL CHIC AND METALLIC HEAT EMBOSSING POWDERS

Hello everyone on this rainy Anzac Day.

We couldn't get to the march today but certainly had the Anzacs in mind when I created today's card.  A big thank you to all members of the armed forces to those who have served and have served and for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to serve their country.  The pattern inspiration was actually from a newsreader's outfit and it's not the first time I have taken inspiration from theTV.  I once saw a contestant on The Chase Australia and his shirt was so vibrant, I took a photo of the TV.  Mind you I still haven't made a card with it but its in my inspiration box. Hey you do what you have to do!!!

Don't overlook the metallic embossing powders.  The heat embossing technique still amazes me after all these years.  I love watching the embossing powder come to life and shine once the heat is added.  You don't have to have all the colours either, a tub of clear embossing powder will give you the shiny emboss look with any colour ink you may have.  You will have to stamp with versamark ink over your sentiment so you will need a stamp positioning tool to do this but it will give a shine to that simple inked sentiment.  Not sure how to do this?  Stay tuned I will be doing a FB live in the next couple of weeks and will be sharing some inking techniques.  So stay tuned!    All the "ingredients" for today's card are listed below.  Happy shopping.  REMEMBER there are still a few days left in April to be in the draw to win the Stitched Stars dies. Spend $50 or more in the month of April and you automatically go into the draw to win.

Well that's it for today.

Stay safe and well and keep on Stampin.
