Scrappy Strip Card

2 scrappy strip card

This was the second card we made in my Zoom Card Class on Tuesday. 5/5/2020. I have been holding these free classes during Corona Lock down and we have had so much fun! Its such a great technique to help you use up all those bits and pieces of paper you might have! Here is the shopping list https://s.tamp.in/fmZP8Y

SUPPLIES

1. 1 black card base measuring 14.8 x 21cm (This is an A4 size cut in half landscape)
2. 1 card border in a contrasting colour of your choice 14.3 x 10cm
3. 1 black card 13.8 x 9.5 (use the other half of the A4 size to cut this out)
4. 4 to 6 Scraps of any coloured card patterned or plain matching or not matching they will need to be longer than 14.3cm we will be cutting strips from these
5. Scrap piece of black card stock approximate 3 x 8cms
6. Scrap piece of the card stock used in the contrasting colour (No. 2 in supply list) OR you can use black.
7. Scrap piece of white card stock about 2.5 x 7.5cms
8. Paper trimmer if not scissors will do
9. Glue
10. Sentiment stamp
11. If you want an insert you will need another piece of white cardstock measuring 14.3 x 10cms

METHOD:
1. Fold the card base in half and put aside
2. From your coloured pieces of card and paper cut strips that should be longer than the 10cms of the card front. Ensure there are two that have a straight line, one for each side of the card so that it is aligned. Cut at an angle and any size you wish, 1cm width is a good size but larger also works.
3. Adhere all the strips to the black card measuring 13.8cm x 9.5.
4. Trim the excess strips and adhere this to the contrasting coloured cardstock
5. Adhere to the black card base.
6. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock as desired (I stamped on white and had a black border but you can do this however you wish).
7. For the inside just attached some left over strips to the one corner of the insert and trim off.
8. Adhere the insert to the inside of the card.

Congratulations you are finished!
