SCRAPBOOKING PAGE WITH NAOMI

Hi all,

As you may know I hold special needs classes on a Thursday, two sessions one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Today I only had one lady attend the lovely Naomi and her carer Janette.  Earlier in the week I had created a page for some travel photos (Athens) and thought that it would be a nice layout for Naomi to do.  So here she is with her finished effort.  She did such a great job.  A lovely photo of her having a yummy coffee so it was Cafe Au Yum we thought!!!

I have also attached the picture of my scrapbook page of Athens.

SCRAPBOOKING CLASS THURSDAY 15/10/2020

Well hello there everyone!

Just finally getting around to a blog post which I promised on Thursday night but we have had sick elderley family members who we have been attending to.  However this did not interfer at all with the fun we had on Thursday with my very special ladies who just love to create special scrapbooking pages to preserve their precious memories.   I created a page very late Wednesday night and was a bit tired but I think it all came together ok.  I wanted some bright colours and some textures for a change as the girls had just been doing simple layouts using DSP.  They are getting a bit more experienced so why not get a little more difficulty into the classes!  I cut triangles out of some of the beautiful new Playing with patterns DSP. The photo I did was of my father in law who is terminally ill in hospital and he is holding our youngest at a wedding which was about 30 years ago now!  I had been wanting to scrapbook this photo and thought it was very appropriate at this time.  So here is a picture of my page.

In the morning we had Caroline with her lovely carer Janette and Caroline decided to scrapbook a photo of her and Janette as they are best mates!  So here is Caroline with her page.

Then in the afternoon we had Naomi and her carer for the day Choe and also we had Kelly with her lovely carer Lesley.  Here are their pics.

They all added their own little special designs and titles according to their picture and as usual we all had great fun.

Until next time!

Keep on Stampin!

Beautiful World

Beautiful world card

Hi Everyone, Have had this gorgeous World of Good Suite since I first saw it in the 2020/21 Annual Catalogue and I had to have it as I have a lot of travel photos to scrap book! Well haven't touched it until today when I made this card. Just wanted to make an inspirational card that I could give to someone to make them feel good about themselves. Everything I needed was in the Suite which is a great way to purchase all the co-ordinating supplies. Check out the "Recipe" on how I made the card. Hope you like today's card. See you again soon and keep on Stampin.

THURSDAYS ARE ALWAYS SPECIAL!!

Hi Everyone,

As you may well know by now, I run Special Needs classes normally on a Thursday unless otherwise arranged. Scrapbooking has proven to be the most popular and each of the girls now have their own albums which they bring along with them to add their special memoray pages to each week.  These classes are just so fulfilling for me and for the girls and we all have so much fun.  I have Caroline who comes in the morning with her lovely carer Janette.  Caroline did a layout using strips of DSP and some doillies and she had the most beautiful photo of some her family.

In the afternoon Naomi and Kelly came with their carers Jo and Lesley respectively and they did a layout using some retired DSP and I printed out their titles on my Brother Scan N Cut.  Always such a great time.  Here are some pics of yesterday's classes.   It was such a lovely day weather wise, we had the class outside.  (All permissions have been given for photos).

Hello from Outback Australia

Outback card

We have our youngest son and his family travelling the outback at the moment and I have been wanting to make a card with an Outback theme. The new tree stencil was crying out to be used. So on Water colour paper I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie to create the vibrant sunset using just sponge daubers. You could get different effects depending on your colouring tools. I also used memento black to do the silhouette ground. For the trees I mixed memento ink droplets into white embossing paste to create the black trees. The simple hello sentiment is actually placed to cover an ink spot and it is from the Forever Fern Stamp set and have heat embossed in gold. We all make mistakes right! Mounted on a gold mat and placed on a black card - I was quite happy with this first attempt. But plan on having another go at it. Hope you like today's card

Just a little catch up while on leave

Hi all,

Hope this finds you all well, this COVID business is only good for one thing, staying in doors and scrapbooking thats if you can't get away.  We were fortunate enough to have four days away at Killarney to celebrate my 60th and had so much fun.  I had some beautiful handmade cards given to me which really made my day!  I have attached some pics of the weekend for you to have a look at. It was very cold and windy so had the party in the camp kitchen which everyone decorated up while we were at Queen Mary Falls and it was just a lovely surprise.  I deleted the naughty word on my cake topper!

I am back on 1st October but wanted to let you know, all going well with Covid - that on 24th October commencing at about 1.30pm here at my place, I will be holding a cardmaking afternoon.  You will get to make four Christmas Cards, also the chance to win some lovely prizes and the cost of $30 includes all the supplies needed and afternoon tea.  I will posting an event soon on Facebook but for those of you who dont use facebook, please call me or text me on 0419721561 to book you space as soon as possible as we may be limited to 10 spaces.

Well that's a quick update from me, we are off again on 4th September for a week to Rocky Point Retreat.  Looking forward to that.  Hopefully can start up card classes in October but again will have to wait and see what Covid does.  Cross your fingers!!

Check out the mini catalogue that is out.  We will be making some cards with some of the products from this catalogue on 24th October.  Hope to see you there don't forget to book!!!

Take care and keep on Stamping
