TEXTURE CHIC FANCY FUN FOLD CARD

Measurements of supplies
1 piece of white cardstock (or whatever base colour you want to use) measuring 8” x 8”
DSP 3 pieces measuring 33/4” x 33/4” If not using a mat otherwise make your mats at 33/4” x 33/4” and your DSP will then measure 31/2 x 31/2 “(ie. I used two different patterned papers the reverse of one.
1 piece of cardstock 31/2 x 6” scored at 3” and 43/8”
1 piece of base cardstock measuring 4 x 4
1 piece white cardstock for inside of card measuring 33/4” x 33/4”
2 nano magnets (I used ones measuring 1cm in diameter)
Embellishments of your choice
Glue dots
Circular dies
Score the piece of 8 x 8 cardstock at 4”
Turn and score at 4” but only down to the other scored line.
Score diagonally from the centre of the page down to the centre score line.
On the unscored side cut up at the 4” mark to the first score line. See diagram below.
Burnish all your folds
Cut your Patterned papers diagonally. If using a mat cut your mat pieces diagonally as well.
Adhere your patterned papers to your mats or your patterned papers directly onto the base cardstock in the four top triangular sections.
Position one of the nano magnets in the bottom right hand corner to the dsp/or cardstock. Ensure it is not too close to the edge. About 1.5cms in from each edge adhere with a glue dot and then adhere your cardstock and/or dsp over the top. Get your second nano magnet and let is grip the magnet and then fold over to get the position of the second magnet and adhere a glue dot to keep it in place.
Before adhering your cardstock/DSP over this second magnet do your sentiment stamping first.
Now you can go ahead and adhere the cardstock/dsp down over the magnet. Ensure that all sides are stuck securely so the magnet cannot escape.
STAND UP THE SENTIMENT.
I have used a circular die to do my sentiment but you can virtually use any die or punch to create an impressive sentiment stand.
Take the piece of cardstock measuring 6” and on the long side score at 3 and 43/8”
Burnish both the folds
Fold at the 3 inch mark.
Nowtaking whatever die or punch you want your sentiment shape to be punch or cut out the shape ensuring that you leave some of the folded part uncut.
Cut another sentiment shape out to adhere to the folded section.
Stamp your sentiment and adhere this piece to the folded die cut portion. Cut out any embellishments or shapes to decorate this section. Keep in mind whatever you use will be the part that keeps the sentiment stnading upright. In this case I have cut some shells from the DSP.
Before adhering the sentiment set the card up as it will be displayed and position the sentiment in the correct position. Then you can adhere this to your card, then you can adhere the embellishmentsetc.
You can add additional embellishments to the flaps as desired but if the DSP is pretty enough you may not need anything else. Just keep in mind the thickness of the card when closed and how it will post etc.
