INK BLOTCHING TECHNIQUE - HYDRANGEA HAVEN

Hydrangea card ink blotching

The Ink Blotching technique is so much fun. Add variegated water colour tones to Fluid 100 paper and die cut your favourite flowers. I love this technique! Here's a video on how to do it as well the instructions are below. https://youtu.be/5qk5A1AcFbw

Have your ink refills handy with lids off.
Take your piece of Fluid 100 paper and spritz it thoroughly with water. With ink in one hand and the water spritzer is add droplets of ink and spritz until you get your desired colour. Once you have the coverage and the colour you desire, set aside to dry completely

Take a piece of basic white cardstock measuring 9.5cms x 13.8cms and emboss this using the Timeworn 3D embossing folder on your Stamp and Emboss machine.
Using an old tooth brush, spritz this cardstock with dilute highland heather ink and water.

When your coloured fluid 100 cardstock is dry, place your dies from the Hydrangea Haven bundle where you would like them and die cut the shapes. Poke out the little petals from the large flower die.
Place the dies onto your white embossed and spritzed card and attach with Liquid multipurpose glue or an adhesive of your choice.

Using versamark and silver embossing powder heat emboss your sentiment and die cut this out.
With the left over coloured fluid 100 card, cut out an extended sentiment die shape and attach your sentiment in the middle of this. This will give you colour at both ends of the sentiment,
Adhere with Stampin Dimensionals.

Finally adhere your white card stock to your Highland Heather piece and then adhere all to your card front.
And you're done!
