Criss Cross Card using Earthen Textures

Criss cross card

This is the card I made during the Facebook live going to air on 18/7/2023. Here is the link to the Fa cebook live https://www.facebook.com/wynningcreation/videos/812335396960580

Basic White cardstock measuring 10.5cms x 29.6cms scored in half on the long side at 14.9cms which is your card base.
Another piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 10.5 x 14.9cms this will be attached later to hide the ends of the strips.
6 lengths of basic white cardstock measuring 1.5cms 29.6cms (the full length of a piece of A4 cardstock)
Take your card base and diagonally line up the first strip from top left hand side of card front overlapping a little at the top. Make a crease in the strip - do not attach permanently just yet. Take another strip and lie it diagonally parellel to the first one and then do the same with the third. The third strip should come to about half way across the top of the card base. As long as the bottom and tops of each strip stay within the top and bottom edges. The spacing works out to about .5cm between each strip. You can temporarily hold in place with a glue dot.

Once you are happy with the 6 strips, 3 in each direction you can glue into place adhering just at the top and in the middle intersections.

Flip to the back where the strips are folded over at the top and adhere the extra piece of white cardstock to the back to hid these flaps.

Turn back over and attach a piece of DSP to the flap under the six criss cross strips.

Decorate by die cutting two vases and some foliage from the Earthen Elegance Suite.

Attach some double sided adhesive sheets to a piece of the Distressed Gold DSP; and then Die cut the happy birthday die cut from the Wanted to Say dies in the Distressed Gold DSP and the shadow die in either Moody Mauve or Pretty Peacock.
Decorate the criss cross with the vases and foliage and the sentiment as desired.
