Alcohol Ink on Vellum

Using Alcohol Stampin Blends to create a gorgeous background on Vellum

Card base using Basic Gray fold in half using bone folder.

Take your alcohol markers of choice and on the whole sheet of vellum scribble some areas all over the vellum in the two/three colours of choice.

Pour some Methylated spirits into a small plastic container and with your eye dropper, drop and spread the Metho over the coloured areas. You can lift and turn the paper so that it spreads. You can also use your fingers or other spreading tool to blend the colours

Use your heat tool on the low setting to dry off the vellum.

Cut your Vellum to size for the card front (13.8cmx x 9cms).

Take your embossing folder and emboss the vellum with the inked side up (Optional).

Run the Versamark down lightly over the raised embossed areas on the vellum and then add Heat and Stick Powder

Heat with heat tool. (ie the vellum may buckle a little but will straighten out when heated a little on the other side and also will be flat when placed on the card.

Now dip in the gilding flakes and rub off excess with sponge

Take a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and stamp your sentiment in versamark.

Emboss with gold embossing powder and heat.

Cut out sentiment with Elegant punch (or other punch of your choice)

Adhere a strip of double sided tape across the bottom of the sentiment

• Dip in gilding and rub off excess
• Tie small piece of Fresh Freesia ribbon to the top of the punch out sentiment
• Now assemble your card
• I like to adhere all the layers together before attaching to the actual card front so adhere the white card (second layer) to the piece of Fresh Freesia card stock (first layer) using liquid glue
• Using Mini glue dots adhere one on each corner of the vellum and a couple down the sides and adhere to the white cardstock
• Wrap a piece of the ribbon around all three layers.
• Adhere the sentiment using Stampin Dimensions
• Adhere Pastel Pearls
• Now attach the entire front to the card base
• For the inside add a piece of basic white card and adhere a strip of the coloured vellum across the top to co-ordinate with the front of the card.
